The royal fairytale between Prince William and Kate Middleton began in 2001. If it wasn’t for their college attendance, who knows how different their lives would be.
When did they meet
They met in 2001, during their time at the same college. Bustle reported that Kate was supposed to originally go to the University of Edinburgh, but at the end decided to have a gap year, and enrolled in William’s school. They were friends in the beginning and ended up dating later during their years at the college.
Where did they go to college
It was St. Andrews. There are rumors going around how Kate knew which college William was going to attend, and that was why she decided to have a gap year and go to St. Andrews when William enrolled. They started dating at the second semester on their first year when he fell in love with her during a fashion show Kate participated in. Kate broke up with her boyfriend at the time and started dating William.
They had a brief break up in 2007, but they ended up back together and married in 2011.
Kate as a royal with a college degree
Years ago, it wasn’t a thing amongst royal women to attend college. But that has changed. Princess Beatrice attended Goldsmiths College in London, and Princess Eugenie attended Newcastle University in Northern England. Kate is one of the few royal women with a college degree.
