Pin-back buttons are an interesting and creative way of expressing your opinion, raising awareness about something or simply showing other people what you like and support.

It can be anything up from music to supporting a certain campaign or sending a message about a change that you want to happen in the future.

They can come in all shapes and sizes, some being more unique than others.

If you are reading this, you are probably wondering where you can get some pin-backs and what the best way to do it is.

Well, there are two different options when it comes to acquiring pin-backs. You can either look up some online sites that do custom buttons, or you can buy the materials needed and try to make them yourself at home.

Both options come with their own pros and cons, so in this article, we’re going to weigh them in and help you decide what the best decision for you is.

Buying pin-back buttons online

If you decide to buy them online, someone else will make and deliver them to you. So, if you’re a busy person that lacks the time needed to create them, this is probably your best option. This will obviously cost some money but, you will most likely end up getting much higher quality pin-backs than you would get if you made them yourself. A lot of these online services have many different materials, shapes, and colors that you can choose from, so if you really want solid custom buttons, this is the way to go.

Some websites also offer a discount if you order in bulk, so if you are preparing for a large campaign or an event, this will come in handy.

Most of them will also allow you to get one or two test samples so you can see which material or color you like the best before placing a bigger order.

Creating the pin-backs yourself

There are pros and cons if you decide to take this road as well.

First and most important is the cost. Budget is an important factor and you do not want to break your bank in the process.

This option will cost much less if you buy your materials and parts to design your pin-back buttons. Plus, it’s a very fun activity that you can do with a group of friends, and you might even brainstorm some great ideas while you’re at it. However, if you decide to do them yourself, you will probably end with products of lesser quality as opposed to if you bought them. This is usually not much of a problem, but if you’re trying to maintain a high-class look for your campaign or event, it might get a little tricky if the pins are not well made.

Last but not least, as mentioned above earlier, making hundreds of pin-backs will take some time. It might seem like an easy task at first but it is definitely time-consuming if you need to produce them in large quantity.
