What does weight loss mean?

Source: NZ Herald

You’re probably thinking that explaining this is completely unnecessary, but you would be surprised if you knew how many people don’t know how to lose weight the right way because just losing any weight is not healthy at all.

What weighs in our body are muscles mostly, bones and other vital things such as organs. When a person loses weight, they can lose either fat, which is how all weight-loss should be done, or they can lose both fat and muscle, which is not good at all, and here’s why.

If you’re a woman, you probably don’t care about being muscly, but even then, you should try and give your best to lose only fat when you’re dieting and slimming down. Our muscles are crucial for many things, and being good-looking doesn’t mean that you have to be weak. Good looking bodies have muscle on them, whether you believe in that or not, it is true.

Also, if you’re losing muscle in the process of losing weight, it means that your diet is not balanced. Fat is what makes your body look bad and “saggy”, muscle is what makes you look toned and in-shape, just like you should be.

So, why diet pills?

Although being in a caloric deficit is what matters the most when it comes to losing weight, some people just struggle to stop eating so much food. Females tend to have a lot of food cravings, which are not helpful at all when it comes to losing weight, and these happen at least once a month during “that” period.

There are two different types of dieting pills, and you need to understand how each one of them works so that you know what’s best for your body. Although we’re going to explain these things to you, please remember that it is very advisable, if not necessary, to consult with your doctor before attempting to use any of these, simply because of the possible side-effects which are highly individual. Weight-loss pills are not harmful in any way, but you might be allergic to some of the ingredients which are included in the formula, so talk to a professional before deciding on your own. Okay, now that we have that out of the way, let’s take a look at some interesting facts.

Types of dieting-pills

Many different types of dieting pills are available on the market, but the two most popular ones are these:

  • Metabolism-boosting pills
  • Appetite suppressing pills

The names are pretty self-explanatory, but we’re going to give a brief description of both of these categories just so you can understand things easier.

Your metabolism is what determines how many calories you’re burning throughout the day, even when you’re not doing anything. That’s called active metabolism, and it is highly individual. Mostly, it depends on your age, gender, current weight, and a few other factors, but it’s still different from person to person. Two people of the same age, weight, and gender can still have different caloric requirements, so make sure to calculate yours.

Metabolism Boosting Pills

The first type of diet pills are boosting your metabolism so that you burn more calories, and when you combine these with some sort of fat-burning workouts, such as cardio and HIIT sessions, you will be able to achieve amazing results. On top of this, if your diet is on point and you’re consuming enough protein, you will be shedding fat while still maintaining muscle.

Appetite Suppressing Pills

Now, the second type of pills works slightly differently. If you are a person who struggles with controlling their appetite, these can be very helpful. Some people naturally have a higher “need” to eat more food, and that’s perfectly fine. This means that they have more of the hunger hormones called Ghrelin and Leptin which are responsible for giving a message to your body that you need some more food right now.

Now, depending on the formula, the second type of diet pills can “suppress” these hormones and “trick” your body into thinking that you don’t need food at the moment, meaning that you’ll have less appetite and no desire to eat so much.

Most people think that they need to starve themselves to lose weight, but not only that’s completely false, but it is very unhealthy as well. A healthy and balanced diet is the key to losing weight the right way and without risking any health issues.

Dieting pills are very helpful indeed, but they should never replace your meals or become your highest priority when you’re trying to slim down. The best advice that will help you, in the long run, is to start tracking your calories, measure your active metabolism and eat less food than what your maintenance border is. About 250-300kcal less than what you need is a great way to start, and if you can, increase this number slowly until you start feeling like you’re constantly hungry. Dieting pills will also help you with this, and once you learn how things function, you’ll have no issues dropping that weight and impressing everyone around you with your new looks.
