With spring knocking at the door, baby Sussex will come knocking too, and everyone around the world is excited about the new royal arrival. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that they don’t want to know the gender of their baby, but they apparently already have the names selected.
According to Bookies Coral, if the royal couple has a baby girl, they will name her Victoria, and Albert if it’s a boy. Albert stands 10/1 in betting. Diana and Philip are also on the table, with 12/1. Diana was the name of Prince Harry’s late mother, and Philip is the name of his grandfather.
There are also names Alice and Arthur, with odds 14/1. Coral’s John Hill shared:
“Victoria has been the most popular name in our Royal baby betting by some distance, therefore, it is the clear favorite ahead of Albert, Diana, and Philip.”
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Endeavour Fund Awards, a nine-year-old Kitty Dudley asked them if they know the gender of their baby, to which Meghan said, “We don’t know whether it’s a boy or girl, we are keeping it as a surprise.”
Twins?
There is no confirmation that the royal couple will have twins, but the bookies see this as a possibility. Bookies Betway has cut the odds from 10/1 to 5/1 on the Sussex family welcoming twins. Betway’s Alan Alger said:
“There were a few rumors circling around that Meghan Markle and Price Harry were expecting twins and we went 10/1 on it happening at the start of the year. However, we’ve seen plenty of support on the couple welcoming two new members to their family in recent days and have had to cut the price in half to 5/1 as a result.”
