When she became a wife of Prince Charles in 2005, Camilla Parker Bowles got a royal status too. She is now known as Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall. She decided not to use the title of Princess of Wales out of respect for the late Princess Diana because she is still known by that title. Instead, she uses the title of the Duchess of Cornwall when she is in England. She has other titles that she uses when she is in other countries, like Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Rothesay when she is in Scotland, and Countess of Chester, when she is Cheshire.
Once Prince Charles ascend the throne and becomes the King of England, Camilla won’t be the Queen, she will be the new Princess consort.
