Fabric crates are best suited for smaller dogs, and they are best if you are planning on a camping trip, hitting the game, and for traveling in general. They are lightweight, but they are not well secured, so avoid leaving the dog alone in it, since it can cause damage to the crate.

As for the size of the crate, many people are inclined to always go for the largest one, the one that will give the dog extra room to do its things. But beware because if you choose a crate with lots of extra room, that might confuse the dog and he will use the extra space for bathroom duties.
