Will Meghan Markle follow the royal pregnancy protocols?

We already mentioned royal baby traditions, but did you know that there is even a royal pregnancy protocol that has to be obeyed? That’s right. The British royals are full of rules and protocols that have to be followed.

However, breaking the rules has always been just more fun. Princess Diana started it first when she decided to give birth ay the hospital, instead of her private home. But since we already discussed that in another article, let’s talk about some royal pregnancy rules, and how will Meghan Markle handle it all.

Prince Harry and Meghan will probably share the news of the birth with the Queen as soon as it happens, as it is written in the royal protocol. Daily Mail reported that Prince William allegedly used a coded phone line to let his grandmother know that the little baby boy George was born.

Since baby shower parties aren’t a big thing in the UK, we sincerely doubt that Meghan will have one for herself. Sex of the baby is also not shared with the public. “Knowing the sex in advance is more American than British,” historian and royal expert Marlene Koenig, author of the Royal Musings blog, shared with Harper’s Bazaar. “I will be surprised if they know the sex in advance. If they find out, they will not be telling the world. I cannot think of any British or European royal announcing the sex of a child before the announcement is made.”

When 12 weeks in their pregnancy, the Royals make an announcement, which is what is done in America too. Also, Meghan and Harry announced that they are expecting a baby when she was pregnant for 12 weeks.

However, Meghan broke the rule about traveling while pregnant when she went on her royal tour.

Since cleavage is very inappropriate for royal women, Meghan followed the rule/ However, she did show off her leg during her Pacific royal tour. Meghan also went with the rule of closed-toe shoes during pregnancy, and she was wearing flats and sneakers on her royal tour.

To catch the first photo of the royal baby after its birth is a great deal. Kate Middleton made an appearance in a dress to greet the crowd outside the hospital, which resembled the one Princess Diana had on after she gave birth. We believe Meghan will also honor late Princess Diana is some way when she exits the hospital after giving birth.

Alan Farthing is the royal OB-GYN, who has been involved in royal pregnancies since Princess Charlotte was born in 2015. He has a team of 20 top birthing experts, who are waiting for the royal family to call them in case something happens. “We were on call for three months. You never know when you need to be called — you need to be in town and available,” anesthesiologist Johanna Bray shared with Town & Country.

Kate Middleton suffered from an extreme case of morning sickness known as hyperemesis gravidarum during all of her three pregnancies. As far as we know, Meghan is doing just fine, and we hope it will stay that way.

Meghan and Harry’s baby will probably have a normal name, but as far as its surname goes, that can be a little different. George, Charlotte, and Louis are using their parent’s title, Cambridge as their last name.

Royal moms have a time off after the birth, of course. They are relieved of all their royal duties. Kate took a 5-month maternity leave when she gave birth to Prince Louis, but we think that Meghan might be back to work sooner than expected.

Meghan will be expected to nurse her child, and her mom will probably be there to aid her. The rule of grandparents who are not part of the royal family being excluded from the baby’s life is no longer there.
