However, when they stated that she is self-made, and when she was placed four on the list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, a lot of people were complaining, stating how she has a rich background and that she was already a reality TV star.

Kylie said how her parents cut her off
Kylie agrees that she did everything on her own, due to the fact that Caitlyn and Kris Jenner cut her off financially. She shared with People, “My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it’s time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that. She further added that they “cut her off at the age of 15.” Regarding Forbes self-made title, Kylie Jenner said, “The self-made thing is true.” She continued saying that she “spent every last dime that I had starting it [Kylie Cosmetics], not even knowing if it would be successful.” She also shared with British InStyle, “My mom cut me off financially three years ago. So I pay for everything—my car, my gas, and food as well as my clothes.”
She did have help
An insider shared with E! News that she had some financial support from her parents in some ways, like giving money for food and laundry. However, the insider also said, “Kris has taught all the girls that if they want something, they have to work for it. Kris made sure she paid for Kylie’s car, for medical, for housing, for food, for vacations. All the usual stuff. If she wanted to buy new clothes, she would have to save up. If they wanted extras they had to buy extras.”
