As it has been reported, some issues have appeared and some additional work may be needed so that the new home would be ready and fully functional. This practically means that Harry and Meghan may move in a few days after the planned finishing of renovation or they would even need to delay it.

The people who are to be blamed for this are none but Harry and Meghan themselves due to the changes they asked for. If it has been done according to the plan, the Frogmore Cottage would have been ready by now, but Harry and Meghan have demanded a lot of layout changes and they are not simple ones. The builders would have to destroy the interior walls, then make a bigger kitchen along with en-suite bathrooms along with making five bedrooms.

The couple want to have all ready and finished prior to the birth of their baby that is expected to take place in spring this year. The royal family never reveals the exact due date, so we do not know when it would take place. The prediction is the end of April and the beginning of May.
If the builders do not succeed to finish everything they have asked for before Meghan gives birth, the couple would surely have where to stay. It is predicted that they would stay at the Buckingham Palace until Frogmore Cottage is done.
The split

It has been confirmed both by the Buckingham and Kensington palaces that there would be a split of the offices between William and Harry. The Queen has given her approval for this and for the formation of the new house Duke and Duchess of the Sussex.
