Five years ago, Kylie Jenner was mostly known as being the youngest of the sisters and daughter of Kris Jenner.
Most of the money she was making came from different modeling jobs. Kylie was the theme of many tabloid articles which claimed that she had gotten plastic surgery to make her lips bigger and instead of hiding her changes after the surgery she decided to use that opportunity and make something out of it.
The start of her makeup line was just a couple of “lip kits”, which included a lipstick and a lip liner. The aforementioned kits sold in a matter of minutes and the result of that was Kylie opening Kylie Cosmetics at the beginning of 2016.
The business is still growing and expanding to include other makeup products like eyebrow products, concealer, eyeshadow and highlighters.
Just three years later, in 2019, Kylie was named the youngest self-made billionaire ever in the whole world because of the amazing success of Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie Jenner is the sole owner of the company and the company is expected to grow even more over the next couple of years.
Besides the headache-inducing amount of money her business has made her, the makeup products themselves are very well-respected and have high ratings from fans and makeup professionals alike. The sheer quality of her makeup products will cement her stay in the business for a long time.

Kim Kardashian is often thought to be the first real star of the Kardashian family and most people think it’s because of her that the Kardashians became famous in the first place. Even though Kim often gets a lot of criticism from the press, so far she has proven herself to be a good businesswoman who keeps reinventing herself as her career takes a new patch.
The same goes for KKW Beauty, which is Kim’s online-only makeup line. There are lot of different makeup products in the line like, highlighters, makeup brushes, contour kits and more. Her makeup line first released in early 2017 and was also very successful from the start, the products were sold out as soon as they launched.
Although KKW Beauty wasn’t the first makeup line to launch from the Kardashian family it also has the respect of the beauty industry and just like Kylie’s makeup line is thought to be a great beauty brand all in all.
So which one is better?

Even though fans like to compare the two makeup lines, it looks like the sisters don’t even see themselves as competition since the audience that buys them is very different.
Additionally, both makeup lines have amazing ratings from reviewers which further increases their companies’ reputation. But it looks like this is just the start, both of the companies keep expanding and growing and will probably stay like that for years to come.
