Coming out on social media is a quick way to let most people in your life know about your sexuality in one fell swoop, and even celebs have embraced the strategy. Actress Bella Thorne revealed that she’s bisexual on Twitter Tuesday after a fan asked her straight up. The 18-year-old had posted two photos kissing a girl on Snapchat Monday, leading the overly curious person to write, “are you bisexual?” With a simple “yes,” Thorne had come out to her more than 6 million Twitter followers.
Now, that would just be a cute story about a Disney star coming out as bisexual, but this gets so much better. Thorne recently broke up with her boyfriend, actor Gregg Sulkin, so she can kiss whoever she wants, but the girl she chose happens to be her brothers ex-girlfriend, Bella Pendergast. Yes, they’re both named Bella. Yes, that could get a little confusing.
In the photos, the two Bellas seem to be on a picturesque hike, with gorgeous trees in the background. I mean, that’s the perfect spot to Snap some coupley photos, especially if you’re introducing your new bae to the world. You can’t introduce a new girlfriend to millions of people by kissing in front of a Wal-Mart.
The duo have been friends for a while since Bella #2 was dating Bella #1’s brother, and Thorne previously posted a video of them jumping into a pool together on Instagram. Look how cute they are.

After breaking up with Sulkin, who she dated for more than a year, Thorne told Us Weekly they ended on amicable terms: “After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship. We will always love each other and have a deep respect for one another, as we have each grown to be better people because of our time together. Our schedules made seeing each other difficult, and we decided that for now this would be best.”
She hasn’t said whether or not she split with Sulkin to date Pendergast, but the actress just announced the breakup last week. She clearly didn’t have any hard feelings for her ex, going so far as telling Us he’s “one of the most amazing people” she’s ever met. ““He’s so kind, so sweet,” she said. “He’s very caring even when he doesn’t need to be.”
Thorne’s fans are eager to see where this new relationship is headed and for all the adorable photos of the couple that will inevitably crop up. Let’s hope there are lots.
