The feud between Kate Middleton and Rose Hanbury and the alleged affair between Prince William and Hanbury have put a negative light on the former model. Hanbury has been the center of attention ever since the feud rumors started.
The Daily Beast was amongst first to report about the feud, stating how Kate demanded William to ‘’phase out’’ Hanbury family from their group of friends, “known colloquially as the Turnip Toffs due to their vast holdings of arable farmland.’’
The Cut stated, “As they do, the British tabloids have recently been fixated on rumors of an alleged royal-related feud — this time, between Kate Middleton and her ‘rural rival’ Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.”
ELLE reported, “The Duchess of Cambridge is said to have seriously considered legal action over a story The Sun ran about her having a falling out with her “rural rival” and Norfolk neighbor, Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.”

Rose is the Marchioness of Cholmondeley. A marchioness is the wife of a marquess. A marquees is one rank above an earl, but one below a duke in the British nobleman society. Rose Hanbury is 33 years old, and she is married to David Rocksavage, who is 58. Rocksavage is the 7th Marquees of Cholmondeley. The Tatler reported on their relationship, “They first met on holiday in Italy in 2003, and announced their engagement six years later, a day before getting married.”
When Hanbury was 23 years old she signed a contract with Storm Agency, a modeling agency who discovered Kate Moss. She became known to the public when a picture of her and her older sister appeared in the British tabloids, when they were alongside Prime Minister Tony Blair, at the time.
