These days rather than using the shorter keywords that are most common for the optimization of pages you should start using some long tail keywords. These are simply phrases that are longer than the original ones and have numerous words and are usually formed in a conversational format using a sentence. The head keywords are different from this since they are often only 1 to 2 words that cover a broad category or topic.

You would also want to make sure that you are catering to the intent of the user when they are doing the searches. You should ensure that you are using this because it is specific and it is becoming much more common. You can analyze the phrase and then you can figure out what the user is going to do. There are a few types that you would need to know about, such as:

This is when the user is ready to purchase an item or even engage with someone and these are the ones that you want to target.

  • Navigational

This is when the user is simply looking for a specific product or destination site

  • Informational

This is when the viewer is simply looking for information and these are the most common but don’t always turn into transactions.
