Kim gave an all honest interview with the popular author and screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis, best known for his work on American Psycho, that she felt terrified that she will never make love again after she gave birth. Kim said, although she experienced some medical problems during her first two pregnancies (preeclampsia and placenta accrete), this wasn’t why she feared. It was about her body, and all the weight she had after giving birth.
“I was somebody who gained 60 or 70 pounds in my pregnancies and felt so unlike myself and so unsexy,” Kim shared for the 20th-anniversary issue of Richardson Magazine. “Literally, at the end, when you can’t even have sex, I thought, ‘I’m never going to have sex again in my life!’ I just felt so bad about myself in my soul.” Anyone who was ever pregnant can understand the way Kim felt. It’s a total metamorphosis! You may have the fiercest body in the world, but once that baby inside you starts growing, nothing stays the same.
Kim got back her spirit after training hard in order to lose the pounds she got after she had North West, who is 5 years old now, and Saint, a baby boy who is now 2. Their third child, a daughter who they named Chicago, was born through surrogacy this year after Kim and Kanye decided that Kim can’t go through third risky pregnancy. “I didn’t lose weight that quickly. But I’d say eight months later, I had probably my best body ever,” Kardashian shared. “I felt like, ‘I did this. I lost all this weight on my own. I feel better than ever!’ I just put my body through that, and it was so empowering when I did a nude shoot.”
Well, congratulations Kim! It’s a well-known thing that Kim is posing nude a lot lately. She was even reprimanded for doing a nude photo shoot for KKW Beauty collection for eyeshadow because as everybody says, nobody will even bother to look in her eyes when her whole nude body is at the display. Kim mentions that while is it ok for her now to be in front of the camera nude, she isn’t comfortable discussing sex.
“I’m actually uncomfortable when I talk about sex,” she shared. “But I’m vain like that. I can go on a set and be fully naked in front of 50 people doing a shoot, but if I’m one-on-one, intimate in bed, I’m, like, shy and insecure. I definitely have two different personalities like that.”
