Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will have their first child in April this year. Despite the fact that the couple said that they are waiting for the birth to find out the gender of their baby, people are convinced that the royal couple is having a baby girl. Here is why.
Pregnancy announcement
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they are having a baby in October 2018. They have been together since 2016, and in May 2018 they had their royal wedding.
Baby’s gender
Not knowing the baby’s gender is a royal protocol, and despite Markle being known as the breaker of royal rules and traditions, this one she decided to follow. Kate Middleton and Prince William also wanted to wait for their children to be born in order to be surprised. Prince Harry expressed his wish for a baby girl, but he said that he will love his child whatever gender he turns out to be.
Bookies think it’s a girl
Bookies are always busy during a royal pregnancy. This time, they say that they have proof that the baby Sussex is actually a girl. Paddy Power, an Irish bookmaker, says that there is a pattern of betting in which you can see what will the baby’s gender be. Mirror’s spokesperson said in January, “The flow of bets over the course of today has been almost as heavy as the general goodwill towards the couple – and we’re now convinced they’re having a girl.”
Baby’s name
There are also bets on the baby’s name. If they indeed have a girl, the odds are going for Diana as a baby’s name, after Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
