Fitness and nutrition expert Jess takes everyone back 12 years as she narrates her path to success and discusses her incredible achievements. The Coach, Trainer and IFBB Bikini Pro, has been dedicated to assisting women in achieving their nutrition and fitness goals.
Jess, the proud co-owner of Fit Plus, is a fitness and nutrition coach who discovered her love for bodybuilding 12 years ago when she stumbled online on the life of fitness competitor Amanda Adams.
Jess was a former extreme fun lover and party animal. Constantly going out and partying, no longer participating in sports as she used to, and ultimately getting herself into trouble. Admitting she found herself a little lost. She regained control of her life after spontaneously hiring a coach, training hard, and adhering to a detailed nutrition plan. She then competed in her first bikini competition six months later. “I haven’t looked back since”. She asserts. She has competed in over 35 physique competitions for the ultimate goal of becoming an IFBB Pro. That dream came true for her at Junior USA’s in 2020.
She admits that she faced many difficulties in her life. She recalls moving from Rochester, New York, to ERIE, Pennsylvania, three years ago. For love and to pursue her dreams. She started the most incredible fitness center with co-owners Jack Sullivan, Jason Zaczyk and Sam Skraba. Jess started helping hundreds of women with their own nutritional and physical fitness objectives. Jess states “Fit Plus is one of my greatest accomplishments and I love the community of strong women and men that was built.” She recently returned back to her home town in Rochester NY after some unfortunate heartbreak. It has been one of her life’s most difficult experiences. Despite these challenges Jess states that she has made the most incredible friendships and relationships from her time in Erie PA that will stay close to her heart for a lifetime.
Jess, who is still co-owner of Fit Plus is also coaching in Rochester NY at No Limitz Gym owned by Sebastian Zona and has a worldwide reach of coaching clients online. She has continued to assist many women in achieving their own nutritional and physical fitness objectives. Jess can identify with women who are about to make these changes because she had to undergo a significant transformation personally, altering her life, habits, and behaviors. No doubt, being relatable as a coach is unquestionably a huge plus. She fosters a loving environment by developing sincere relationships with her clients and assisting them physically and mentally.
Jess describes her daily routine. Currently working out six days a week, followed by 40 minutes of cardio. The fitness coach keeps a back/upper body day, two shoulder days, and two leg days. In addition, she appreciates yoga, team workouts, and strolls outside.
She describes her strategies for overcoming challenges. “Everyone, in my opinion, should have a coach, therapist, or mentor to guide them not only physically but both mentally and spiritually as well. It wasn’t until I took a look deep inside myself with therapy that I have started to heal from past challenges I have faced. I do believe you can workout and be in peak physical condition, but if you’re also not taking a look at what is going on inside of you (mentally and spiritually) you may struggle with OVERALL health, wellness and happiness.
Her advice to other women is “Never give up” She states, “Find people you can have genuine conversations with. People that want to help you and hold you accountable to your goals. We were not meant to go through life alone, so the people and circle you surround yourself with will make or break you. If I haven’t said it already, NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.”
