By now, it is clear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle most likely will not announce the name all the way until the baby is born, maybe even weeks or a month after that. As is the trend in the royal family, it is not strange for the public and fans to learn the name of the new prince or princess until a week or two after the actual birth announcement. One of the reasons for this of course is the gender reveal of the baby.
Traditionally, the future royal parents do not find out the gender of the baby until the time of birth finally comes. However, although Meghan said that the gender is a surprise, some reports say that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already know they are having a boy, and are preparing accordingly. However, the official reports from the palace have yet to confirm this to be true or false, so everything is still only a rumor at this point. In addition, both Harry and Meghan made comments about a potential baby girl, so everything is still possible.

The parents are not shy about their feminist beliefs, so they may indeed want to name their daughter after an iconic female monarch like Queen Victoria, who ruled from 1837 until 1876. Some of the other iconic women who were members of the royal family are Queen Elizabeth, Princess Alice of Battenberg, who was the mother of Prince Philip and the great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria, and Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth’s rebellious sister.
In addition to these famous ladies, some royals think that the pair might choose a name that perfectly fits their strong passion for philanthropy.
