Being the youngest members of the royal family, Princess Charlotte and Prince George are very often in the public eye. They are so adorable that people always find it interesting to find out a bit more about them. They might not be that different from their other peers, but growing up in the royal family, naturally, does affect their lives so they differ from other children their age in many things. But, how different are they from each other and how close are they?
It seems that these two spend a lot of time together, partly because they don’t have many friends. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they don’t enjoy each other’s company. On the contrary! They actually seem to have a lot in common, starting from hobbies – they both love ballet. Prince George was the first one to start taking ballet lessons when offered at his school, but it wasn’t long after that Princess Charlotte began dancing, too, at a prestigious London dance studio. Many believe that this love for dancing was passed down to them from Princess Diana. Anyhow, they both enjoy it.
As previously mentioned, neither of them spends too much time with children outside of the royal family, so that helped them bond even more. Since Prince George’s school even discourages making a best friend, and it is normal for a child his age to have someone to play with, it’s great that he has a younger sister to spend time with, and vice versa. Even if they did have some friends from school, nobody can understand what it’s like growing up as a royal, so they understand each other best. The arrival of their younger brother also brought them even closer. When Prince Louis was born in April 2018, his older brother and sister were seen entering the hospital holding hands with their father.
Now, since Prince George is older than his sister, everyone would assume that he’s the one ‘in charge.’ However, it’s the other way around in their case. The Queen herself confirmed that on one occasion, and Kate Middleton also once called Princess Charlotte “the child in charge around the house.” Either way, these two are really close and we’re sure they’ll as close with their little brother, too.
