In Touch reported how Queen Elizabeth II “isn’t happy” that Markle had a “$1 million baby shower.” The insider said how “Meghan spent $1 million on the lavish six-day trip” to New York, which included a $75,000-per-night suite, food from renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and a guest list containing names like Serena Williams, Gayle King, and Amal Clooney.
In Touch also said how Markle had a $250,000 private jet to take her from the U.K. to New York, and back to the U.K. “That exorbitant number did not go over well with her grandmother-in-law,” said the magazine. Its questionable insider declared how “[Queen Elizabeth] nearly had a heart attack when she heard about the cost of the trip.”

However, Markle didn’t pay for her baby shower. That $75,000 hotel suite was a gift from Serena Williams, Markle’s close friend. She went to New York in a private plane, which one of her friends owned, and her trip back to the U.K. was provided by Amal Clooney.
