The royal baby has finally been born, and supporters of the family couldn’t be happier to see the first pictures of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. And even though fans are excited, all of the royal family members are certainly ecstatic as well. We can only dream about how spoiled little Archie will be in his childhood as his family — including the notorious Sarah Ferguson, who really adores children — dotes on him.
Sarah has talked about how much she loves children before and the new royal baby has made us wonder if she will be wanting grandkids of her own. Will she be asking Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie for grandkids in the near future. Here is our take on it.
The world has been impatiently waiting for Archie’s birth since Meghan announced her pregnancy. CBS News had a report shortly after his birth, Meghan announced the name of the royal baby who is now the seventh in line to be on the throne. And Meghan and Harry are obviously over the moon with happiness. As Prince Harry said, “His looks are changing every single day. Parenting is amazing.”
When it comes to Sarah Ferguson, we don’t have a single doubt this baby is very important to her. She’s Archie’s great-aunt, and we have to remember that she was also very close with Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, before she passed away in a car crash. Town & Country has proof of Fergie writing in her 1996 autobiography of Diana, “She was two years younger than I, and I strove to support and protect her as I would a younger sister — as I still do today, as a best friend.” Princes Harry and William also shared their childhood with Fergie’s daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, too, which connected the two families even more.
She has said in the past that she would be a great grandmother
It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if meeting Archie makes Fergie to push her daughters — or at least her married daughter, Princess Eugenie — into getting pregnant. Fergie’s has said in the past how she’d be an excellent grandmother as well, so we know that she has been thinking about that. Entertainment Tonight reported before Eugenie got married to Jack Brooksbank in October of 2018, Fergie mentioned how she’d be a great grandmother as well. “They are thrilled because I write children’s books and I’m a child,” Fergie said of Eugenie and Brooksbank potentially having kids. “And I haven’t grown up. So they’ll just go, ‘Here, take [it], Mom!’”
At that point, it was too soon to take Fergie’s comments very seriously — but now that her daughter is going to be married for a year, maybe she’ll be reminding Eugenie that she’d make a great babysitter.
Are Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie going to be having kids any time soon?
So, with the fact that baby Archie has just joined the royal family, is another royal pregnancy announcement coming soon? There aren’t any hints yet that Eugenie is planning for a baby, but Romper said it was maybe discussed in the family around the time of Eugenie and Brooksbank’s wedding. And fans are already asking for Eugenie to have a baby on her Instagram profile. On a photo she recently posted of Meghan and Harry, one person commented, “Sweetheart, you’re next.” And a different one added, “You next Eugenie please!”
And when it comes to Beatrice, it may be some time before we hear of any possible baby news from this royal lady. Harper’s Bazaar reported that she’s rumored to be involved with a man called Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and they were recently seen together in public. Could there be a royal wedding coming in the near future? Fans are definitely coming. And with another couple tying the knot, maybe Fergie can look forward to grandchildren from Princess Beatrice, as well.
