After the announcement of Meghan Markle`s pregnancy, another announcement followed. Meghan is planning her nursery. The Duchess of Sussex is very busy designing and making her dream nursery right, just in time for the baby to come. However, one of her choices might not be as healthy as needed to be in the same room as the future Baby Sussex. We are talking about the wall paint that the Duchess requested for.
Eucalyptus- Infused Wall Paint
As the duchess prepares herself and the nursery for the arrival of the future princess or prince, she is trying to make her dream nursery into reality. Her highness presents herself as a very eco-conscious person, and a yogi. So, she decided to add something quite unique to the first bedroom of the future Baby Sussex.
Allegedly, she is planning to include a eucalyptus-infused wall paint into the bedroom. In order to see how different this is you need to know that wall paint is made of animal parts. Her choice is to paint the room with vegan wall paint, instead of using the traditional one. From the environmental perspective, this is a perfect choice.
According to the recent studies, eucalyptus releases some particularly good vibes, which can be the greatest possible choice for a baby`s first bedroom. After the aroma, eucalyptus oil has antimicrobial and antibacterial traits. Still, we don`t really know how they will hold up after they are mixed with the paint and placed onto the walls.
Is It Safe for Babies?
It definitely sounds relaxing, but is it healthy for babies? Not it is not. The eucalyptus oil is definitely healthy when used in certain ways. Also, depending on the type that is used, it is not safe for babies and small children. Usually, the eucalyptus oil is made from a eucalyptus globulus, which is safe for adults. However, it is not safe to be used around the children younger than two years. Automatically, it is not safe for nurseries.
But it seems that the Duchess knew this information because the oil she wants to use is made from eucalyptus radiata, which is safe enough to be used around children. Nonetheless, this information should be checked with the pediatricians. All should be perfectly healthy for any baby, let alone the future part of the royal family.
Baby`s First Bedroom
Vegan wall paint is not the only thing that is requested by the Duchess of Sussex. She requested for gender-neutral colors to be displayed in the room. This is due to the royal family`s tradition of not knowing the baby`s gender before the baby is born. Some rumors are saying that the family already knows what the gender is, but it is not something that will be made public before the baby is born.
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex made sure that the room is equipped with the highest technology so they could monitor the baby when sleeps. Of course, the public will know the gender of the baby when a newly born baby makes an appearance.
