The rumors about the alleged feud between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been around for a really long time now. Now that the two shared a kiss on the cheek at the annual Commonwealth Day church service at Westminster Abbey, maybe the rumors will finally disappear.

Commonwealth Day
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton attended the Commonwealth Day church service with their respective husbands, Prince Harry, and Prince William. When the two Duchesses approached one another, they greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek, while Prince William and Prince Harry shook hands. Alongside the Cambridge and the Sussex royal couple, Prince Charles attended the event with his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, and his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Commonwealth Day is a service paying tribute to the 53 nations that make up the Commonwealth.
Meghan and Kate’s moment
Meghan Markle wore Victoria Beckham’s dress, cream and black patterned. She had a coat and a hat that matched her look. Kate Middleton wore a red dress and a Catherine Walker coat. They also appeared together at the 50th-anniversary ceremony in honor of Prince Charles’ service as the Prince of Wales, and the two were seen enjoying their time together at the Buckingham Palace. A source revealed to US Weekly, “Are they the best of friends? No. Do they speak every waking second? No. Do they hate each other? Absolutely not.”

Rumors about the feud
Everything started when Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, revealed in TLC’s Kate v. Meghan: Princesses at War? “William was quite concerned that the relationship had moved so quickly. And being close to Harry, probably the only person close enough to say to Harry, ‘This seems to be moving quickly, are you sure?’” Nicholl continued, “I think what was meant as well-intended brotherly advice just riled Harry. Harry is hugely protective of Meghan. He saw that as criticism. He interpreted that as his brother not really being behind this marriage, this union, and I don’t think things have been quite right ever since.”
Afterward, Lady Colin Campbell, a royal biographer stated, “Everything I hear is that Harry is completely beguiled by Meghan and completely enthralled to her and has changed considerably. People do change when they get married.”
How are the duchesses taking the rumors?
Markle stated recently, while appearing at an International Women’s Day panel, “I don’t read anything, it’s much safer that way, but equally that’s just my own personal preference, because I think positive or negative, it can all sort of just feel like noise to a certain extent these days.” It appears that the two women are taking all the rumors in stride.
