Meghan Markle is expecting her first baby with her husband, Prince Harry. Even though it is not a thing for the royal family to have a baby shower, Markle went to New York and had one anyway.
The baby shower attended some of Markle’s close friends, like Amal Clooney, Gayle King, Jessica Mulroney, Abigail Spencer, Misha Nonoo, and Serena Williams. According to Peter Ford, a Channel 7 entertainment reporter this made some tension in the royal family. “There may be some tone of disapproval about this – because there are reports going around that the Royal Family don’t approve of baby showers and she is defying them by going to New York and spending time with her close friends in New York. here is a dispute about whether the Royal Family do disapprove of baby showers or not, this may be just more of a social visit just to get away for a few days from royal duties.”

Markle’s attempt to have a quiet and relaxing time in New York with her friends has failed. She received a lot of criticism because she broke another rule and went against the Queen of England.
