Nowadays, everyone wants to become a signer. That is much more difficult than it sounds, and you actually need talent as well as work ethic to achieve it. There aren’t many Greek singers gained world-fame, but one is certainly on its way to do so.
His name is Panos Mouzourakis. Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Panos came to Greece with his family at an early age. He spent his childhood in Thessaloniki and from the early stages of life his interest in music grew. From the age of 19, he began showing up at different nightclubs in Halkidiki and Thessaloniki where he often played the guitar and sang, either by himself or with his band. However, these gigs weren’t something where Panos wanted to stop. So the next logical move for him was the biggest city in Greece – Athens.

The start of something great
When he arrived in Athens, he was hired in the “Stravos tou Notou” club, where he stayed for the next four years, creating a specific artistic presence, that constantly gained the love and attention of audiences wherever he performed. In 2004, he attended acting classes at the Kostas Daliani’s “Action” school and during the same period, he participated in various performances of Dionysis Savvopoulous.
During 2005, he participated in a theatrical performance of Vasso Vasiliou “Jungle Rites”, and in the performance “Aharni” by Dionysis Savvopoulous, his role was that of Lamachos. And in the meantime, he was ready for the world tour, winning hearts of fans all over his country, but also gaining international fame. Some of his memorable performances happened in Vienna, Cyprus and even Tokyo! One person who helped Panos a lot was Dionysis Savvopoulous, who assisted the artist in every way imaginable.
Singer and Actor!
Panos is a man of many talents and he didn’t hesitate to show them. Besides his great voice, he also appeared on television. His first appearance on TV was in 2007 in a project called “Giannaki omorfopaido”, and was followed by a role in the series “S1ngles” (which ran from 2007 to 2008), and the TV series “4” (which ran from 2009 to 2010) by Christoforos Papakaliatis.
His movie career kicked off with the film “J.A.C.E” (2011) directed by Menelaos Karamagiolis, and later continued with “Amore Mio” (2015) directed by Christos Dimas, and “Without Milk” (2015) done by Thodoris Vournas. His most recent and famous work is in Universal’s “Mamma Mia! Here we go again”, directed by Ol Parker. In “Mamma Mia! Here we go again”. He portrayed a character called Lazaros. He played Sofia’s son, whose band plays at a bar. He also participated in making a song for the official soundtrack called “Kisses of Fire”.

So far, Panos’ career seems to be going in the right direction.
Panos released three personal music and he participated in 21 records as a lead singer. He has been an active performer, singer, and musician for the last twenty years. In 2010, he also lent his voice for the Greek adaptation of Disney’s animated movie “Frozen” from 2013 in which he played Olaf. During 2016 and 2017, he was a part of the jury for a TV show “The Voice of Greece”, which was screen at the TV channel SKAO.
His plans for the future include recording songs for his new album and he is also making some remakes and updated versions of well-known English songs for Universal studios. He will also be back in Europe to do another season of “The Voice Greece”. Also, Panos is planning to have two tours, one in Greece and another in Europe. He will also be performing at Vibrato.
We said it earlier that there aren’t too many Greek artists who are worldwide famous. However, Panos, with his talents certainly has the potential to among the top singers in the industry. He has proven this to us multiple times!
