Prince Harry has appeared alone for the first time after his 16 days royal tour with Meghan Markle. He showed up for a remembrance service at Westminster Abbey and laid a cross at the Graves Of Unknown British soldiers from the first and second world war.
But Harry’s pregnant wife wasn’t there with him, which caused the public to wonder where the Duchess of Sussex might be.
Apparently, Meghan wasn’t supposed to be at the event, and it was planned for Harry to go alone, as many other royals do during work.
OK! magazine’s royal expert Laura Hills said: “The memorial is an event that Harry has attended six times before, as a former serviceman himself it is particularly meaningful for him. It is common for members of the royal family to carry out solo engagements and it was likely decided that Meghan did not need to attend on this occasion.”
She further explained: “William often attends engagements without Kate, and likewise both Duchesses carry out engagements on their own.”
The Duchess of Sussex will probably attend the commemoration for the victims during the war on November 11.
