Princess Diana is a legendary woman and she was a revolutionary public figure during her entire life. She broke the Royal protocol on several occasions, and her fame came from her capability to infuse the secluded Windsor family with a democratic humanity.
She still carries on to bend the traditional norms that are required from a princess, even 21 years after her tragic death, through a funny, naughty birthday card she sent to her accountant, Anthony Burrows, during the 90’s.
The birthday card recently appeared as an item for same and Julien’s Auctions, as part of their “Icons & Idols: Hollywood” sale.
In the card, under the climax of the joke, Princess Diana wrote a note for Burrows, marking his special day, next to her expensive signature.
A representative for Julien’s Auctions shared with The Huffington Post that the card is probably going to reach around $800 to $1,200, and they are selling it for a person who acquired the card from Burrows.
The “Icons & Idols: Hollywood” sale at Julien’s Auctions is open November 16-17.
