Kate Middleton has three children, and Meghan Markle is soon to have her first baby. Everything seems to be running smoothly for Meghan, but things were very different when Kate was pregnant.
Kate’s struggles
Every pregnancy is different, and some struggle with morning sickness. For Kate, it was much more difficult. She suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe morning sickness, which Kate had during all of her three pregnancies.
Announcements
The reason why Kate announced she was pregnant much earlier than Meghan did, was due to the difficulty of her illness. Her morning sicknesses were causing her to miss out on royal engagements, and the public knew that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant because she wasn’t seen around as much.
Body language
Meghan and Kate’s pregnancy body language was different. Body experts say that Meghan’s body language has become more adoring ever since she found out that she was pregnant. Kate wasn’t cuddling her stomach as much as Meghan does when she was pregnant with her children. Express reported that Kate was more formal and careful to her baby bump, and Meghan is using every opportunity she can to put her hand on her belly.
Birth
Kate, like most of the royal mothers, gave birth in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital. Afterward, she and Prince William appeared outside the hospital to wave to the public with their baby. Meghan still isn’t sure how will she manage things when the time comes. Some say she might be delivering her baby at home, or that she will have a more private birth. We just have to wait and see.
