Biography
Dr. Bijan Zamani was born in 1989 in Iran into a family of doctors. He has since then studied in multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus, and UAE. Currently, he is fluent in Persian, English, and Russian. He has studied computer engineering but decided to get a degree in medicine as well. He finally got into medical school in 2014 thanks to his dedication and hard work. He realized that in order to improve the healthcare system, he has to see it from the inside.

Long before starting his medical studies, he’s been working on startups already being an experienced and ambitious entrepreneur. He has experience with over 10 startups and is familiar not only with computer engineering, but with other useful areas as well, such as healthcare technology, medical marketing, advertising, management, and web commerce. Back in 2004, Dr. Zamani founded his very first business, not even realizing how far his dedication is about to take him. This was a web portal which proved to be extremely successful and has won him the first prize at the Iran Web Festival. It was clear that this young man will have a very fruitful and successful future.

What really got him in the center of everyone’s attention is the startup on which he’s currently working called MihanPezeshk. He started working on this startup as an already experienced entrepreneur. MihanPezeshk is an online platform on which people can easily find a doctor and book their appointment. Any medical organization or doctor can sign up and make their own page that will provide the users with the most important information such as the address, phone number, working hours, and a short description of their services.
Not only that, but doctors have an option to add photos and videos of their workplace. Also, doctors can offer online consultations and book appointments using the online platform.

The problem in Iran that Dr. Zamani decided to solve is the long and difficult process of looking for a doctor. Anyone who needed medical attention was turning to the newspaper in order to find a doctor and still not being able to see the working hours. MihanPezeshk is created in order to make the entire process of searching for a doctor and booking appointments a lot easier and faster. According to Dr. Zamani himself, the time needed for finding a doctor has decreased by 70 percent thanks to his startup.
MihanPezeshk is nurturing the patients-first culture and has been greatly improving peoples’ lives since day one. Today, Dr. Zamani is often called “The First Iranian Doctor Programmer” and the title suits him.
