As people who are constantly in the public eye and also members of Britain’s most prestigious family, the royals know that threats are something they will always have to deal with. Recently there have been threats made against pretty much each member of the royal family. Even more recently there were threats sent to Prince Harry by an extremist group that caught the attention of the North East Counter Terrorism Unit which meant that something needed to be done about it.
We’re going to go through some of the things that have been done in order to ensure the safety of the royals.
Inscreasing the security

The way they did it was through a private gaming server and the accusations they made were that he was a race “race traitor” because he married a woman whose father is white while her mother is African-American.
Just after the threats were made appropriate measures were taken, like increasing the number of people on Prince Harry’s and Meghan’s security team. That was the least they could do since the young couple are known for their walkabouts.
Being when exiting a vehicle
Another, you could say drastic measure, was that the duchess could no longer close her own door.
The first time she did that was in October and it caused a great reaction from the public, that gave her a very down-to-earth image mostly because she didn’t just leave it to an assistant. Even though her intentions were good the security team warned the former actress that she could no longer do that because the cars used for traveling and making public appearances have self-locking doors.
If anything were to happen the security detail needs to be able to get the royal couple back into their car as soon as possible and if the doors were locked that would make it very difficult.
Receiving help from palace employees
Even though most older royals don’t have social media accounts of their own you can still find disgusting comments about them as well as deplorable threats being made against Kate Middleton and her sister-in-law Meghan Markle. For this exact reason people working at the palace watch out for those comments and report them to the police so they can immediately be investigated.
