Sunday was a great day for the royal family, as Queen Elizabeth II turned 93 years old! The whole family went for a traditional Easter Sunday service at the St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. However, people could help but wonder where Meghan Markle was. Naturally, this development was the cause for plenty a rumor, as the media wondered why the pregnant Markle missed the important family celebration.

Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton were in attendance
So who was present for the service? The Queen, her grandsons William and Harry, and William’s wife Kate Middleton were all in attendance for Easter Sunday service. Kate was seen giving curtsy to the Queen while they were entering the church. Queen Elizabeth wore a vibrant blue coat and a matching hat.
Unfortunately, Prince Harry had to come to the service alone, a scene that left royal fans wondering if Meghan Markle is in currently in her final stages of pregnancy, and therefore due to deliver the baby soon. The remaining guests and royal family members included Zara and Mike Tindall, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Princess Anne, Sophie Countess of Wessex and her son James Viscount Severn, as well as Autumn and Peter Phillips.

During the Easter weekend, both the Kensington Palace and The Royal Family social media accounts wished the Queen all the best for her big day. Kensington Palace shared several lovely photos on their Twitter account, and wrote:
“Wishing a very happy 93rd birthday to Her Majesty The Queen! #HappyBirthdayYourMajesty.”
On the other hand, the Royal Family posted on their Instagram account a video, showing the Queen through the long years, and captioned it with the following:
“Happy 93rd birthday to Her Majesty The Queen! Our video includes a photograph from each decade of The Queen’s life, from an image of her as a baby in 1926, to her visit to King’s College last month. #QueensBirthday #HappyBirthdayHerMajesty.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wished ‘Granny’ a happy birthday
Meghan Markle may not have been present for the Easter service, but the brand new Instagram account of the happy couple sent a very special message to Queen Elizabeth:
“Happy Birthday Your Majesty, Ma’am, Granny. Wishing you the most wonderful day! Harry & Meghan.”
There was a series of photos that showed the Queen when she was a young woman, and with Prince William and Prince Harry when they were just boys, as well as Harry as a young man not that long ago. One photo captured a sweet moment where the Queen and Markle shared a laugh, as well as of all the three of them together.
Will Meghan Markle give birth today?
Because Meghan Markle could not attend the holiday service, rumors spread like wildfire that she will perhaps give birth on Easter Sunday. This would have been quite an occasion, as Baby Sussex would share the birthday with the Queen, which fell on Easter this year. Although it is quite possible that she could have delivered the baby on Sunday, most fans think that the proud dad-to-be Prince Harry would have never left her alone for it. Therefore, she was probably not in labor, and just at home resting.
Last week, the couple released a statement week, indicating they would not share any details of the birth of their first child. This made some think the baby is already here! The official Buckingham Palace statement reads:
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
