First, let’s break down what a millennial is. The word “Millennial” refers to the people born from 1980-2000. They can also sometimes called the “Generation Y”. A fun fact about Millenials is that they were the first generation in history that grew up totally immersed in a world of digital technology which has affected their identities and cultural/social attitudes.
Millennials were really known for being adventurous because most of them reported a desire to visit every continent and travel abroad as much as they could, according to a study that was made a few years back. But also when dining out, they’re often in search of something exotic, adventuresome, memorable to explore during the experience.
The movies listed below are a small portion of the millennial generation’s most popular movies, which were not only watched once but twice and more. Millennials and today’s generation also know all these movies due to the major popularity that they have gained.

Bring it on
It is a teen cheerleading comedy film which was directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jessica Bendinger. When it was released in theaters in North America on August 25, 200, it earned around $90 million, and ever since then, it has become a cult classic. The issue of the white appropriation of black culture is an important one for kids to understand. It is a shame that this smart and sassy movie has to include a few unnecessarily raunchy humor. Otherwise, this movie would be a great movie for kids, because it raises some important points and it is a lot of fun.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
It is a fantasy movie released on 4 November 2001, which was directed by Chris Columbus and distributed on Warner Bros, which was based on J.K Rowling’s novel of 1997, which had the same name. It was the highest-grossing movie of 2001 and the second growing film of all time while also being nominated by many awards. Not even the film but also the book still has a lot of passionate following across the world.
