Meghan Markle flew to New York in her third trimester of pregnancy to meet some of her friends and have a baby shower. Rumors have been swirling that only a few friends were invited and attended the lavish party, including Amal Clooney and Serena Williams. However, the two of them weren’t the only guests but they have been allegedly the organizers of the party. In fact, it is believed that Amal and Serena are the ones who are footing the $80,000 bill.

Meghan Markle’s baby shower was a very peaceful, but luxurious celebration, which took place at the penthouse of the Mark Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Based on the hotel website, the upscale penthouse costs $75,000 a night.
The hosts, Amal Clooney and Serena Williams, made sure the room looks perfect by arranging for bunches of peonies to surround the guests. These flowers are quite pricey, especially as peonies are out of season. It is estimated that they cost $15 a stem, or $180 for each arrangement. Additionally, the penthouse was arranged with roses, which probably cost about $85 per arrangement. Thus, the bill for the roses was probably about $5,300.

Moreover, harpist Erin Hill entertained the guests, a musician who charges $300 to start for a wedding ceremony. There was also a cotton candy, which can cost $125.50 for 50 servings. There were plenty of Away luggage boxes carried into the penthouse, which is believed are for the guests from Markle.
The total cost of this lavish baby shower, gifts excluded is estimated to cost $83,665.50. Quite impressive and unbelievable, right?!
Well, the luxurious baby shower was also attended by Markus Anderson, Gayle King, Daniel Martin, Jessica Mulroney, Misha Nonoo, and Taryn Toomey, among the others.
Meghan left the hotel on Thursday wearing a tan coat and a black baseball cap. She is going back home, but she won’t be there for long. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will leave for Morocco on Saturday.
