There is a rumor going around that Angelina Jolie ‘’snubbed’’ Celine Dion when the singer proposed her to “play her in [a] biopic of her life.” A source revealed to NW how Dion’s “big passion has been a musical movie adaption of her life, career, and marriage” to Rene Angelil, and she was all “set on Ange landing the part.” However, Jolie has turned it down due to her “schedule is simply too full to take on another film project.” NW claims that because Jolie has refused the part, she will have to go through “wrath of beastly Celine.” The source claims that Dion is “devastated she’s turning down the role,” and that “it may be the end of the project altogether.”
If NW is to be trusted, it means that there will be no Celine Dion biopics. However, the first movie was announced in January and it is called The Power Of Love, Celine. It will be in the French language, and its main focus is Celine Dion’s Canadian childhood and her teen years when she was discovered by Angelil, who later became her manager and husband. The second one was announced three weeks later, and it will be in the English language, named Celine Before Celine.

None of those movies mentioned Jolie’s involvement, which only means that NW claims are not true. GossipCop got in touch with Jolie’s representatives, who confirmed that NW story is very much false. NW mentioned ‘’perfect casting’’ which compares Jolie and Dion as skinny, and that makes Jolie perfect for the role. However, movies are focusing on Dion’s earlier years, which don’t make Jolie as perfect as the tabloid claims.
