You may never fulfill your dream of becoming a fully-fledged celebrity, but how about the next best thing? Celebrities aren’t known for sticking to the same thing for very long (like marriages, *cough*), which means they’re constantly swapping their digs for something bigger, better, and more luxurious.
The market is flooded with properties that were either previously owned by a big name celebrity or have some sort of close connection with a bonafide star. It is not a secret that some celebs make a business out of it, but surprisingly, the fact that a celebrity used to live somewhere has a very small impact on property sales. However, upgrades to their property, including landscaping increases the value and ensures a hefty profit. The following is a curated list of celebrity homes that are currently (or at least last time we checked) available for purchase.
And hey, if you have the money, why not put in an offer? We’ve even included a gem that us mere mortals may be able to afford. Warning: it’s still ridiculously expensive.

The Brady Bunch House, LA ($1.885 million)
Whether you grew up in the 1970s or have a thing for syndication television, the property the Brady Bunch called home felt like, well, our home too. And now it’s possible for you to own it in real life, with 11222 Dilling Street available for purchase for $1.885 million bucks.
While the house is super spacious, we’re not sure how Mike managed to fit in his wife, six kids, and a nanny. Having a quick look at the interior will tell you exactly why: the house was used as the exterior, but the actual scenes were filmed in a TV studio. That means that the iconic green living room with its accompanying 70s decor is only to be enjoyed via your television screens. However, the facade itself remains remarkably familiar, so the diehard Brady Bunch aficionado should still find plenty to be happy about.
Britney Spears Villa, Beverly Hills ($9 million)
Britney Spears isn’t the girl she was back in 1997, but to us she’s still the pop star to rule all pop stars (I mean, is there a catchier song than ‘Toxic’?!). The home Britney bought in 2007, shortly after filing for divorce from would-be “rapper” Kevin Federline, is now on the market for just under 8 figures. The downside? Britney won’t be the one showing you around, as she sold it herself just a couple of years after buying it.
This property may be near the top of this list, located in a secluded and gated private community. The zip code? Why, 90210, of course. The 7,800 square feet home offers a formal dining room (black tie mandatory!), a chef’s kitchen (chef not included), a breakfast booth that has stunning views of the garden, and a jaw-dropping vaulted-ceiling living room. The home theater is fully equipped for you to enjoy all of Britney’s pop hits. Sit tight, there are many…!
Stockard Channing’s 1950s Mansion, Hollywood Hills West ($1.7999 million)
Famous for her portrayal as the First Lady in Aaron Sorkin’s NBC hit “The West Wing” and the classic “Grease”, Stockard Channing’s is still trying to sell her 1950’s mansion in the Hollywood Hills two years after hitting the market. Originally available for $1.895 million, it’s now “only” $1.7999.
The home is spacious, with 2,196 square feet on offer, two beautiful brick fireplaces, two bedrooms and accompanying bathrooms. What really sets the home apart, however, are the vistas. With views of the canyon and trees available on several sides, the terraces and patios are the standout features of this property.
Oprah’s Modest Family Home, Chicago ($400,000)
Oprah is worth a staggering $3 billion, but this modest family home in Elmwood, Illinois, can be yours for less than half a million dollars. While we only have a record of her purchasing the house and not actually living in it, we think this 1940s brick house with a colonial vibe is still worth a look.
It has 2,250 square feet, two wood-burning fireplaces, hardwood floors throughout, and four spacious bedrooms. While we’re not sure Oprah ever saw this as the home of her dreams (she’s known to be a bit of a property flipper in her spare time!), she nevertheless put a lot of work into it: new heating and cooling systems, wholly refurbished exterior, a serious bit of landscaping and brand new gutters and roof. Nothing less would be good enough for the queen of daytime TV!
