We are used to always being impressed by the style of The Duchess of Cambridge. However, many also love it and find it adorable when she and her husband Prince William make an extra effort to coordinate their clothes. Whether it is similar colors or the same all the way, they always try to complement each other the most. From their early dating days until now, these are their best matching moments.
All the way back in 2011, the Duke and Duchess looked like locals at the rodeo demonstration in Calgary, Canada. The then newlyweds showed their fun side to the fullest, while wearing the same shirts, jeans, and the white cowboy hats.
When they graduated from St. Andrew’s University back in June 2005, they looked alike and so much in love. As per the university tradition, they both wore white shirts and black trousers, for a first matching look of the pair shown to the public.
For this occasion, the royal pair put on red, grey and blue matching Land Rover polo shirts. That July 2016, they were touring the Land Rover BAR boat shed, at the America’s Cup World Series in Portsmouth, England. They both wore jeans and put up a big smile.
While they were touring Canada in 2016, William and Kate took a trip to Haida Gwaii or the Queen Charlotte Islands. They opted for a canoe and spent the day with the First Nations leaders, before visiting the Haida Heritage Centre and museum. The lovely pair received matching Raven’s Tail scarves, which they wore at this time.
Following their wedding in April of 2011, William and Kate went to Canada and the US. They were made honorary members of the Canadian Rangers, and received bright red matching hoodies. The one Kate wore was personalized with her new title, and read The Duchess of Cambridge.
For this Royal safari, the pair wore matching shades, button down shirts, and even stroke an identical pose. Kate and Will looked completely in harmony, as they rode inside an open Jeep. This took place at Kaziranga National Park in Guwahati, India, when they were on a tour in 2016.
Here, the pair is wrapped in waterproof jackets, while sporting sunglasses. The place in question is their ride on the Shotover Jet in New Zealand. These personalized life jackets even had their official titles stitched in. Very cool.
On their Norway tour in February, William wore a blue ski jacket, while his wife chose a red quilted KJUS Duana jacket. She was pregnant at this time, so we can assume the baby was safe and warm under the soft jacket.
During their visit to Aston Villa Football Club, the Duke, who is famous for supporting the club, went with a trendy blue, North Face puffer jacket. Kate of course matched him, as she chose a red coat.
One more time, the royal pair matched in BAR gear. They spent some time with Sir Ben Ainslie, during their visit to the headquarters of Land Rover BAR team during the July 2015 America’s Cup World Series in Portsmouth.
Two months after the iconic wedding, on their tour of the US and Canada, they posed for a portrait at Clarence House beforehand. They were perfectly in sync, in matching formal dark navy suits.
Here, William and Kate chose a jumper and trainers look, donning some cozy sweaters, trousers and trainers. They blended together in khaki colors at the Rippa Rugby tournament in New Zealand.
In February of last year, they traveled to Sunderland to visit a new bridge, the Northern Spire. They were one of the first people to walk across the new bridge, which improved the links between the Port of Sunderland and the very center of the city. For this occasion, they had to match some fluorescent safety vests and hard hats, to stay safe on the construction site.
Last year in March, while the royal pair prepared for the Commonwealth Big Lunch at St Luke’s Community Centre in London, they wore matching aprons. We cannot help but wonder if they have their own his and hers aprons at home. They must, right?
When it comes to similar trousers, it is less of an occasion that other items of clothing. For their visit to Cyprus to meet the family members and personnel of the Akrotiri Royal Air Force base, they sported a rather similar look.
