Prince Harry will have to follow a more strict set of rules
It is familiar that Prince Harry is without a doubt one of the most fun and playful members of the entire royal family. This trait of his is just one of many that will make him an excellent father, but once his firstborn baby arrives, he will have to change his antics just a little bit. Being a parent is a very demanding job for anyone, and Harry will surely come up with some rules for his child, which would in turn be a change to what he is currently used to.
The baby may have dual citizenship
Because Meghan is American and Harry is British, their baby might get dual citizenship immediately. This would be a first for the royal family, which would change the dynamic. What is more, Baby Sussex may spend time in the United States, because Doria Ragland, the future grandmother, currently lives there. Meghan is sure to bring the baby to visit the proud grandmother, and dozens of her friends in the States. She will also probably want to introduce her baby to the American culture early on.
Baby Sussex will have a quieter life
Both Meghan and Harry said that their intentions for the baby are for it to have a quieter and more “normal” life than the rest of the royals, away from the constant spotlight. Harry has been quite vocal about different types of pressures of being surrounded by media and in the public eye, constantly scrutinized and talked about. This is therefore one of the main reasons why the Duke and Duchess decided to move to Windsor.
The baby may not have a royal title at all
Many people and royal fans assume that everyone born into the royal family automatically gets a title of either a “Prince” or “Princess”. With the newest baby however, this may not be the case. For some time, it has been reported that the baby may not be granted a special title by his or her great grandmother the queen. This is because the new baby is only seventh in the line of succession, so a royal title is not really necessary. Not being a “Prince” or “Princess” will help the young royal live a more reserved and private life the parents want.
The baby may not have a nanny
Up until recently, royal parents have always followed a strict set of rules for regarding their children. One of these is hiring a nanny to help out, especially with the newborns. All three children of Prince William and Kate Middleton have nannies, while the rest of the royal children do too. However, Meghan and Harry want to change the dynamic by not using a nanny. They would like for Meghan’s mother to spend as much time with them at their new home as possible, and help take care of the baby.
It could be seen from all of this that Meghan and Harry are doing things in their own way when it comes to their firstborn. It is so refreshing to see this different way of raising a royal child, and the royal pair is staying true to what they believe in to the fullest.
