There is a lot going on in the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting ready for many things in the following months. First, in a couple of weeks, they will celebrate their first Christmas together as a newlywed couple, and also they need to move out of their two-bedroom apartment at Kensington Palace and move into a huge country estate, which is in Frogmore Cottage, about an hour outside of London. In the Spring of 2019, they will expect their first child. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a lot to handle these months and things haven’t been easy for either of them during all of these transitions.
Some of the royal staff have been quitting their jobs, so there came up the question about Meghan Markle being difficult to work with. One of Prince Harry and Markle’s staff, interim private secretary, Samantha Cohen, announced that after the couple’s first child arrives, she will leave her job. The announcement came at the bad timing and everyone is concerned and wondering about the Duchess’ way of communicating with staff.

Marklemania
Markle as a former actress has her own ways of doing things, which seem to be quite of an adjustment for the British royal stuff. She is used to waking up early in order to have a long day. „It is said palace staff has never experienced anything remotely like Meghan‘s formidable work ethic, matched only by the incessant stream of ideas about how to shape her role. Through the aides see her enthusiasm as well-meaning, her up and at ’em West Coast energy is an uncomfortable fit with the more formal ethos of some of the palace staff“, the Daily Mail has reported.
Samantha The Panther
Samantha Cohen has been working as a royal staff member for 17 years. She was in Queen Elizabeth II’s service, working as her assistant private secretary, before becoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s private secretary. She is also famous as Samantha The Panther and we were able to see her on numerous occasions in the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, being in the background of their public appearances. She was set to help them with their new journey in life.
„[Cohen] is well-liked and unstuffy and the perfect aide to help guide Meghan in some of the complexities of protocol“, The Times reported. But it seems that it was not meant to be.
„Sam will be a huge loss. Going forward, Meghan might need someone cut from a slightly different cloth to traditional courtiers, who is not a career civil servant or royal insider“, a royal insider said.
The Reason Behind Markle’s Personal Assistant Quitting
Markle’s personal assistant, who was only known as Melissa, left her position just six months after Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot. Melissa’s job was to deal with the drama about Markle’s paternal family and to make sure the royal wedding goes without any unplanned difficulty. But the thing that made Melissa’s job exhausting was the way Prince Harry behaved.
„Prince Harry became petulant and short-tempered with members of staff. Raising his voice on occasion, Harry would insist, „What Meghan wants, she gets.“ “, Charles At Seventy, Royal biographer Robert Jobson explained.
Is Meghan Markle a difficult person?
As previously said, Markle has her own ways of doing things, so she needs someone who is used to working with actors and actresses. On the other hand, royals have another way of doing things, and neither of them adjusted their expectations. So the compromise would be a personal assistant who would be trained in British royal protocol and who has experience in working with actors and musicians.
