For a week now there’s been speculating that Duke and Duchess of Sussex won’t be living in Kensington Palace next to Kate Middleton and Prince William. And the rumors turned out to be true.
The couple will be eventually moving into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, 45 minutes outside of London, as it was reported by The Sun’s royal correspondent, Emily Andrews. And that is the same place where they had their wedding reception.
As it was said, Markle and Prince Harry were given the new house by the Queen. “It’s currently undergoing a large refurbishment to turn it back from staff accommodation to a family house”, Andrews wrote on Twitter.
Duke and Duchess of Gloucester should be moving to a smaller part of Kensington Palace, but still Markle and Prince Harry do not want to move into the Palace’s Apartment 1, next to soon to be empty Apartment 1A.
There has been a bit of tension between the brothers, as the royal source told The Sun, so the initial plan for Markle and Prince Harry to move to Kensington Palace was changed.

Frogmore Cottage in Windsor within the private Home Park is going to be the couple’s official residence. After being renewed, place will have 10 bedrooms and space for gym and yoga studio. Cotswolds house will remain their country home.
First it was reported that Harry and William would have separate courts in the future, and then came the news that Meghan and Harry will leave Kensington Palace.
On 24th November, 2018, Kensington Palace wrote a statement: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. The couple have lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year. Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.”
