Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting the arrival of their first child in April this year. But how long will the royal couple wait before they decide it is time for another baby?
The wedding
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their royal wedding in 2018, after only two years of dating, and in October 2018 the Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first baby.
Fast pregnancy
Both Meghan and Harry said how they want kids even before they got married. Since Meghan was most likely 36 years old when she got pregnant, she apparently had no hard time getting pregnant, due to the fact that the chances of getting pregnant at that age are pretty slim, only about 15-18% per cycle.
More children
Meghan has mentioned before how she has wanted a baby girl in the future. Even though they never said how many children they want exactly, we can speculate that it will be between two and four. When a fan shared with Prince Harry how she had five children, Prince Harry replied, “Five children? Too many.” And considering that Meghan is having her first child in her late 30s, we can only assume that they won’t be having five children.
William and Kate
Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed their first child, Prince George in July 2013. They waited a year before she got pregnant again, and she gave birth to Princess Charlotte in May 2015. Two years later, Kate was pregnant again, and the couple had their third child, Prince Louis in April 2018. For now, nobody knows if Kate and Prince William will have more children.
Meghan and Harry
For now, nobody can say for certain if and when the second baby Sussex will arrive. If they decide to have another baby, it will most probably happen in less than a year, considering Meghan’s age, and the possibility of having a baby in your late 30s is slim. We will just have to wait and see.
