The break-up
It seemed like the media pressure took a toll on a young couple. Media started calling Kate “The Next People’s Princess,” and they both weren’t sure about their future together. Prince William allegedly phoned Kate and told her, “I can’t… It just isn’t going to work. It isn’t fair to you.”

Prince William went back to the military, and Kate started getting involved in the fashion business. Kate started partying and she was even seen with “a handsome heir to a British shipping fortune.”

Prince William was spotted with Ana Ferreira, where his hands went some place north on Ferreira’s body, to put it that way. and that caused quite a stir. He was also partying a lot with several other women, and one of them said how they flirted while he was drunk. But apart from that, Prince William wasn’t seriously involved with anyone after his break up with Kate.

Friends of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said how the two kept in touch after the break-up, and that lead them to reconciliation. The time they spent apart just helped them realize how madly they are in love with each other. Kate shared, “At the time I wasn’t very happy about it, but it actually made me a stronger person. You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn’t realized. I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger, and I really valued that time for me as well although I didn’t think it at the time.”
