Unfortunately, online bullying is a rather common problem, both among “little” people and among celebrities. So, royal family members seem to be no exception. And the young Duchesses, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been at the heart of controversy for some time now.

Between the two of them, it could be said that Markle is even more bullied, but Middleton got her share, as well. Firstly, she was a victim of bullying when she was only 14 years old and went to Downe House School. Other girls were so harsh to her that her parents eventually decided it would be best for her to change schools. “She was picked on because she was perfect, well turned-out and lovely,” said one of her classmates. And it seems that she is now a perfect Duchess in a way, at least according to some people, so the curse of her perfection is still making her life hard at every step.

As for Meghan Markle, she was very often the subject of criticism even before her marriage with Prince Harry, and it has got even worse ever since. It seems that she can’t win with the public – whatever she does, it’s not good enough. They believed that she only married Prince Harry to climb the social ladder, and then there were even some comments that she was faking her pregnancy.
So, the bullies don’t like Middleton because she’s such a “goody-goody” and they hare Markle for being the opposite. There have been so many mean comments on Instagram on so many occasions that it’s no wonder neither of the two has personal Instagram account. The reason why they are being bullied so much might lie in the fact that they were not born as royals, so they might lack knowledge on how to do every single royal “thing” right, especially Markle who’s completely new to this. And it’s a well-known fact that with popularity, there come harsh criticism and hatred, and no one is exception to this rule.
