The famous Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has spent the past five months exploring colleges with her eldest son Maddox, who is 17 years old, without the help of her ex-husband and his father, Brad Pitt. The actor is therefore feeling pushed out of his son’s decision, and the next big step.
Picking out the right college is an important step for every student, which is exactly why Angelina Jolie, now 43, went with him on a family tour of universities, both in the USA and abroad. Brad Pitt has however been pushed out of this important family matter.
“Brad is so proud of Maddox and would love to be helping him tour colleges, but as of now there are no plans for that. It’s not by Brad’s choice,” said one source close to the 55-year-old actor.
“He’d love to be more involved but Angelina has been very clear that she is handling it. It’s hard on Brad to be pushed out, to see Angelina having fun with the kids while he’s busy working to support everyone,” adds the source.
Angelina and Maddox went to New York University campus on February 22, blending in with other prospective students. Angie however, as per usual, stood out among the rest of the parents. The movie star wore a dove grey coat, a large black Yves Saint Laurent bag, which she matched to her high heels. Maddox wore a North Face jacket and Converse sneakers.
Brad was also left out of the South Korea trip last November when Jolie and Maddox went to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR) Special Envoy. While in Seoul, they also visited several colleges. He has been studying Korean and has thought about studying abroad, primarily in this Asian nation.
Other children, Shiloh, 12, Zahara, 14, and Pax, 15, all came along for the fun NYC trip. Angie treated them to a visit to the Museum of Modern Art’s Serendipity film on February 21. On February 26, the mom brought her twins Knox and Vivienne, 10, to a special NYC screening of the movie The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, starring and directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor.
