Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle look incredibly good, especially the Duchess of Cambridge after we take into a consideration that she gave birth to three children. The Duchess of Sussex, however, is also good looking even though she is in her fourth semester.
Have you ever wondered how they manage to stay that fit and slim? Well here are 8 ways the Duchesses are doing to have a good healthy body.
Contents
1. Yoga
Meghan loves yoga and the matter of fact her mother, Doria Ragland is a yoga instructor. According to Meghan’s mother, yoga helps you gives you “increased flexibility and muscle strength, greater happiness, increased mental focus, a greater ability to relax, decreased anxiety and better sleep.”
When Meghan once talked about her health she mentions how yoga is “sort of her thing – as much for her head as for her body.”
“My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout: all of these things drive me to step onto my mat or go to the gym,” she added.
2. Pilates
Another thing Meghan does to keep her body in a good shape is Pilates. She is a fan of Pilates Platinum made by Sebastian Lagree. She talks the best of this machine whose users are many celebrities. “Hands-down the best thing you could do for your body,” she said in one interview. The machine uses a method of a system of sliding discs, pulleys and resistance bands on a Megaformer machine and it helps you to build core strength and flexibility. The best of all is that it burns up to 700 calories in one hour.
3. Vegetarian meals
Even though Kate loves to eat meat, she sometimes takes weeks to go on a vegetarian diet. When Kate and William were in India, the Taj Mahal Palace chef, Raghu Deora, said he was making vegetarian food only, as Prince and the Duchess asked for it.
4. High-protein diet
Kate was on Dukan Diet just before her wedding in 2011. The diet focuses on cutting carbs and focusing on lean protein and vegetables. It starts with only eating meat, fish, eggs and fat-free or low-fat dairy products, and after some time going back to the vegetables and salad.
5. Meditate
Another way to heal your mind and body is to meditate. Meghan loves meditation and she even had a personal trainer Craig McNamee while filming Suits.
“Running has always been my form of moving meditation, which I relish because it allows me to get out of my head.”
6. Green juice
If you are a caffeine addict and want to move to a healthier way of living, you should try green juice. Meghan said in one interview that she prefers it in the afternoon, rather than having coffee. “It’s easy to fall into the trap of rushing for a coffee when you hit that 4 pm slump, but if I blend some apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger in my Vitamix in the morning and bring it to work, I always find that sipping on that is a much better boost than a cup of espresso.”
7. Sushi and seafood
Both Meghan and Kate are lovers of Sushi and seafood. Even though she can’t eat it in her pregnancy, Meghan said sushi was an essential part of her diet. She even has her favourite sushi restaurants in LA.
Kate and William are big fans of sushi too and once they visited Japan House in London and met Japanese chef Akira. They enjoyed sushi so much, they promised they will come back.
“My wife and I love sushi. We might have to come down here for lunch when no one else is in.”
8. Running
Kate loves running. When asked about her hobbies she always includes running and tennis as her favourite hobbies. She even once participated in a 100-metre sprint with Prince William and Prince Harry at a training day for runners for the marathon.
Meghan also loves jogging but her running days are over for now until she has her baby.
