We are all aware that the Queen has a unique and luxurious life. She has access to some things common people can only dream about. From dining at the fanciest restaurants to traveling the world and meeting exciting people, it seems that the Queen has it all. Yet, there are many things she missed out on. We made a list of six normal things that the Queen has never done. Take a look.
Attend School
Nowdays it is normal that royals go to some of the best private schools and universities, but when Queen was younger she never attended school. She was home schooled just like her sister, Princess Margaret. Since it was important for them to be prepared for their royals jobs, they studied constitutional history and law. Both of the princesses had a high quality education, but they never had a classroom learning or school friends.
Take A Driving Test
During the Second Worlds Was, the Queen was taught how to drive, but she never took the test. She still drives her Land Rovers.
Go On A Date
In 1939, when Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark and Princess Elizabeth first met, she fell in love with him.
„One of the most extraordinary things about the Queen is that she fell in love and married just about the first man she met. Of course, it’s a slight exaggeration. But she met Prince Philip of Greece, as he then was in 1939 when he was a dashing naval cadet at Dartmouth Naval college. She had met him before at family occasion, but this was the occasion when, by her own account, the spark was struck“, Robert Lacy wrote in biography.
Voted
Monarch aren’t really allowed to vote in any election, because it is considered to be unconstitutional. The Queen surely has her own opinions on political matters, but she remains neutral about it.
Had A Normal Job
The Queen has her royal job and is busy with state business, Government matters and official engagement, but she has never had a 9-5 job.
Had A Social Media Profile
Members of the royal family consider privacy a very important matter. Allegedly some of the younger royals have secret social media accounts, but it very likely that the Queen doesn’t use social media platforms. Back in 2014, during a visit to London’s Science Museum, she did write on Twitter: „It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R.“
